To start off with I’ll
describe a little bit more of where I am currently staying. The apartment
that I'm in is actually part of an 1850's schoolhouse so it's pretty cool!
They turned the schoolhouse into 4 separate apartments. It’s
surprisingly in pretty good condition compared to a lot of other old homes in
New York that just get trashed. One thing that's not good about it though is
that the water tastes horrible. The well water here is naturally high in
sulpher content so it doesn't really taste the greatest and when you turn the
shower on it smells like matches but at least it isn't toxic or anything. At least
I hope it isn't.
As for this week we met
with our Investigator Jessica who actually has been coming to church now for
like around a year but she still isn't sure if she wants to get baptized yet.
She is a nice enough person but she seems to be holding back and hiding behind
something but we don't know exactly what it is. The visit went well and we
answered some of her questions that were actually pretty good and sincere but
it still feels like she doesn't trust us 100 percent. I don't exactly know what happened but I think
she just wants to make sure what she's getting into is right for her. This
week we got to go to the temple and do confirmations with our recent converts
here in the branch. Every Thursday evening we go on exchanges with the
high priests and elders in the branch and this past Thursday it was pretty
funny. I got to go with some one called
William Jones so there were two of us ha ha. We went and saw a guy who
hadn't made it out to church for a few weeks and he came yesterday! Oh
and Heather (idk about Andrew) got her patriarchal blessing a week ago which is
awesome! For some reason the idea of getting that came to my mind pretty
strong a few months ago at stake conference and so I was like hey you should
ask your missionaries what a patriarchal blessing is so she got it!

We had our patriarchal blessing today and I felt so incredible. Thank you so much for telling me about it!
