30 December 2013

This week I had the opportunity to Skype home to my family which was pretty awesome.  Also this past Saturday the girls that I've been teaching got baptized which was pretty awesome!

This week has been interesting in that starting Christmas day evening my companion starting throwing up and didn't stop till like Saturday so I was working with another missionary in my district on Thursday and Friday and then I didn't feel so great on Saturday and so I stayed inside with my companion on Saturday and Sunday and today I don't feel so bad.   Anyways, the baptism went great although no one told us that the font took 6 hours to fill with the water heater and we only started filling it 2 hours before so we had to boil hot water from the kitchen and then pour that into the font to warm it up a little bit and the kitchen was on the other side of the building.  We got it to warm up enough although it still was a little bit cooler than preferred.   The non-member  cried when he watched so he definitely felt the spirit, I just have no idea what might be holding him back from joining but hopefully he'll remember this day for sure.  Hopefully this week we will be in good health and be able to get the Lord's work done.

Baptisms are awesome!

We got tons of snow these past few days and today the high was 13 degrees and it's supposed to get to minus 4 tonight!
