6 January 2014
Well this week was interesting.
We got a lot of snow and as such we shoveled a lot of driveways which is
always fun! The best part of this week though was that we got a really awesome
headquarters referral for a lady called Felicia. She was being taught by
missionaries in Iowa and has been going to church for awhile over there but
something out there was preventing her from being baptized and she can now that
she's here in Rochester. We called her up and she wasn't able to meet
this week but we are going to be seeing her tomorrow. She also came to
church yesterday so that's the first time I've had an investigator that's gone
to church before I got to teach them but hopefully all will go well.
She's originally from Liberia, but she surprisingly fits in as we already
have several people from Liberia in the gospel essentials class already who are
recent converts. Who knew I'd be teaching Africans in New York ha ha.
That's the good news this week. I just looked on the weather and
apparently we are getting some kind of major snowstorm coming in. That
wasn't what they predicated yesterday. The Lake effect snow makes
predicting the weather near impossible. So this will be fun to travel in. I hope they don't close down the high way.
A thought to ponder ...............
By small and simple things are great things
brought to pass.
