Exciting week - temple with reactivated sister!

21 April 2014

This week was a pretty good week!  On Tuesday and Friday we started teaching our recent convert Jacob Norris's mother.  That went okay although she wasn't really paying full attention but we had some good conversation about some things.   We also met with Katrina and finally asked her about Baptism and she said that she wasn't against but that she didn't feel a complete confirmation that she needed to do it.  We ran out of time to really go into depth on the why of baptism so we will hopefully be seeing her another day this week if possible to talk more in depth about it.  We also got to go the sites with Felicia on Thursday and that was really exciting!  She really enjoyed it and said that she wanted to go back again and video record it so she can send it back to people in Liberia to watch.   We also got to go the temple on Saturday and support a recently reactivated lady go and get her endowments.  That was pretty exciting!

Palmyra Temple

We had a less active who we have been working with come out to church yesterday too. We also met with the Elder Quorum president and gave him a list of directory changes and people that we think need home teachers.  From the people that we've seen about 40 people don't live at the address on the directory so it makes it hard to home teach someone that doesn't live there. We also had a really solid lesson with the less active family the Jorolemans and we brought a member along and it was perhaps the best lesson we had with them.  That's mostly it for this week.

This upcoming week we will continue to keep meeting with Jacob’s Mom so hopefully we will get her to come to church.  She said she was going to try to make it yesterday but she didn't show up.  We also are going to go to Mark Montuli's birthday dinner this Friday. Mark is a less active individual who has some kind of mental slowness.  Not sure exactly what it is, but he gets really lonely as he stays in the house pretty much all day so we will just go over to support him.  His mom also has some depression problems too.   Ummm  that's pretty much all so far that we have set in stone for this upcoming week.  Hopefully we will pick up some more people to work with.  I'm really enjoying this warm up of the weather and hope it lasts!   Easter was good!  We got to have a couple of families have us over.
